Ferry

Slow travel enthusiasts or eco-conscious explorers can hop on a ferry to and from Gran Canaria. Multiple companies run routes from Las Palmas and Agaeta/Puerto de las Nieves to several nearby Canary Islands.

You can also reach Gran Canaria by ferry from mainland Spain, with routes operating from Cádiz and Huelva. The journey takes between 35 and 41 hours, so it’s not the fastest option, but it offers a scenic and leisurely way to travel, with beautiful coastal views along the way.”

Plane

Most international visitors, however, arrive by plane at Gran Canaria Airport (LPA).

Due to the island’s popularity as a year-round tourist destination, it’s one of the busiest airports in Spain. It offers domestic and international flights across Europe and beyond.

Binter Canarias, a small regional airline, offers routes between the famous Canary Islands and several other national and international routes, along with most of the major airlines in Europe.
